Khesed Directors News
Our Sept - Nov. road trip had to be cancelled after three days, due to June's 92 year old mother being admitted to hospital. We praise God for His timing in the call from June's sister, as the following day we would have been in remote areas in very limited communication.
Her mother passed away about four weeks later. We praise God that we were able to be with her and the family, pray with her and John was able to conduct her funeral - a time of celebration and sharing the Gospel.
We are now working out details for a visit to Central Desert communities that was postponed, in preparation for outreach there in July 2011.
June is also beginning to prepare for the next Eagle Rock College English classes: four weeks, starting just after Christmas. This will be a larger class of Korean high school students, including some from Yongi Cho's main church.
In October, John was finally able to meet Harold Dews in Sydney and look at some of the documentary Pocket of Fire with him. He will advise on editing issues, but made it clear that John needs to do the editing himself. Several others in the industry strongly advised us to use professional software (Final Cut Pro), and we came to realise that we also needed a much faster computer for the job.
Praise God that Ps Ray Minniecon talked with us about a very good training website that he has used for this software.
We feel all of this is preparation for a new Christian Indigenous Media Centre that may be established in 2011-12.
Once again, thanks for all your prayer and support during 2010, especially during the difficult time we have just been through. God's presence has been awesome!
